Hey this even works with my free account. Either I didn't get to pick a world for it (it was the first week they came out I created the account) or I forgot, but I never got to level 60 so WvW is locked and I guess I never thought to check that info because normally it's just telling me things I already know.
Any player on either on the two can play with any other player on the same megaserver. So, if your friend chose a homeworld that is in the same region as yours, North America or Europe, you can play together in every part of the game. Except for WvW, as described above. #2. 9 mbsyust • 2 yr. ago The servers they are referring to only exist for WvW. They used to exist for PvE until Anet implemented the megaserver system. With the one megaserver it just spawns a new copy of any given PvE map once the last copy is full and then closes them once the map empties out.
Yeah regions can matters a lot more than servers. DE in that case most likely means you joined a german server. If you have the free to play version I'd think about creating a new account. A server change is possible but it's roughly 10-20$ in gems, so not really worth it if you just started out and didn't buy the expansions right away.
The way server transfers used to work: someone transfers off, you get in. Now with the recent changes in server capacity: even if someone moves off, the server will remain full. T1 is on lockdown until further notice. Im not exactly sure what you mean by that. Server population is now based on active WvW population.

You could delete all of your characters, then you are free to change servers, otherwise, no. Hold up. I had a free server transfer, somehow. I have the account for 5 years, owning both expansions. When i wanted to transfer it said 0gems and so i did, moved myself to a different server without deleting anything.
